Hi chaps

So i stuck the carbtune pro on my bandit (project) this morning and had a little tinker with the carbs trying to get them in sync however i can't really seem too come close to getting all 4 level on the carbtune pro, I'm expecting a few people to say "it's a bandit what do you expect" lol however I've attached a little diagram that i quickly knocked up on paint to show you exactly what i can achieve on the carbtune pro

It'll be working great then shit itself. I'd not worry about the carbs being balanced... they are atrocious. Laughing

the only thing i would add is small movements with the screw and each time you've think there correct ,give the accelerator a blip to see if they remain the same Thumbs Up

IF.... you are using the carbtune properly, it can show up other problems rather than just the balance of the carbs.
If you cant get a good vacuum over the four carbs.... check valve clearances, tight valves can give the appearance of low vacuum. IF you are using the carbtune properly, I'd be checking 1 and 2 cylinders clearances, carb rubbers and that the carbs are tight on their clamps.

LHS diagram shows 1+2 are good, 3+4 also good. You now have to find the screw between 2+3 to bring it all together.

RHS shows 1+2 all to cock, with 3+4 good.

Good paint skills there, btw.

I had the same problem on a 400, I took the carbs off and using a fluorescent tube light behind adjusted the screws until all 4 butterflies started opening at the same time, you can see the light crack through the butterfly. Ran fine!

Yes on the LHS diagram when 1,2 & 3,4 look good when i adjust the screw in the middle to try and bring 1&2 together with 3&4 that's what happens (RHS diagram)

Have you used the crabtune reducing thingies in line, to damp out variances?

Yep dampers fitted to the lines as per instructions, going to give it another go after giving the bike a good service, also want to make sure all of the pilot screws are all set to the same amount of turns, and adjust any float heights if need be
