Classy. Different to the usual HRC/Repsol.

Spotted this at a local dealer. The bike is a 2015 Fireblade SP ABS, which has covered just over 300 miles. It was originally a Marquez Repsol, but the paint job was done when the bike was new by a professional motorcycle paint shop, and is very high quality. It's meant to be a modern take on the Jim Redman-era Honda racebike livery.

Personally I think it looks great, although not overly fond of the '93'. It's also a bit of a bargain. So I'm genuinely interested in the concensus.

First glimpse it looked a little supermono esque.

Not a fan of the instant colour change though.

I can see the Supermono connection.

I agree about the paint. I prefer it to standard, because it's bold and a bit different. But it could make it a hard sell in the future. On the other hand, it's verified by the original dealer that it was painted when new, which means it wasn't painted because it was damaged. And the quality of the paint work is better than factory IMO.

Are you just saying that it's ugly anyway, or that it's a bad bike?

I've never ridden an SP, but the Fireblade is a good bike. It's outdated in absolute performance terms, and the quality isn't quite what it used to be (althouh the SP is nice). But as an everyday sportsbike for the road, I think it still makes a good case for itself.

I think the tank and tail unit colours make it look unfinished.

Bleurgh! Repsol SP is fine as it is. Especially when one ends up in my garage. Perhaps a couple of years yet though.

No. Not yet. 50/50 at the moment.

I don't need it, and I wasn't looking for another sportsbike. But it's cheap enough to run for a while and probably profit.

If I cover the right half of the first pic, I like it.
There's a saying which goes, 'red and green should never be seen'.
I think that goes for orange too.

The orange/green needs to be on the tail piece too, it looks a bit breakers yard bits after a crash.

OK if you're colour blind? I'm not...

I'm not 100% sold on the scheme, but I quite like the contrast of the black tail section. The poll is useful since it demonstrates that some people like it. Not everybody has to, but I wanted to know whether it was just me (and the guy who had it done).

Absolutely have it if you like it, personally I think I would if i could, despite the colours as it would mean I could ride a sports bike without feeling very old after half an hour.

Looks like another very trick modern litre sports bike, that's tiny and has some trick parts like the Brembo monoblock calipers and ohlins suspension etc.

The blade still looks quite classy and well finished, but it's not especially a pretty bike, but then neither is a new R1 etc. I've actually grown to like the lop sided look of the BMW the most out of them all now though.

The colour scheme while distinctive, isn't my cup of tea either, but I bet u you won't see another one parked in the same colours, so that's the dilemma I spose.

If you like it, buy it though as if the price is decent, it looks like a hell of a lot of bike.

Well, the consensus seems broadly positive at present. Certainly enough people like it.

Deal done. Thanks BCF Thumbs Up

Nice looking bike but the colour scheme makes it look shitty, would look good if the green and orange was all over or not at all. Not that looks really matter anyway.

Don't think it looks particularly bad, but i'd agree with a couple of other comments about the tail fairing looking out of place. Bit of colour on the tank might look nicer too I think.

Nice bike though either way; if you buy it and decide the colour scheme is too disgusting, i'll be happy to take it off your hands as a free gift Razz.

It's bought. Should be collecting it Saturday. Very Happy

Then I'll put some proper mileage on the thing and decide whether I like it. Maybe use it for a Scotland trip. Unless I really like it, it'll be traded in or up for sale before the end of the year. But either way, it'll be good motoring in the meantime.
