I have a few games on the PC at the moment, but I look at them and can't be bothered playing them any more.... either due to completing them or they are just so frustrating with the keyboard/mouse or control pad. So I'm hoping you helpful geeks can give me a few suggestions for games to download.

I'm not in to FPS or online FPS, my last few games are as follows:

Far Cry 3 (completed), although I have FC4 I'm not really getting in to it.
Project cars (considering buying a Logitech G25 to enjoy it better.... that and Dirt Rally), but both are really annoying on the controller.
MGS: The Phantom Pain (completed, really enjoyed and stupidly deleted)
GTA V (Bought and paid for (one of the very few), completed Story Mode and too many people hacking to play online).

I wouldn't mind a decent (offline) RPG, something with more than 2 hours gameplay (I'm looking at the COD's), something that isn't impossible to do anything.

I've even found myself going back to Minecraft....... MINE-FUCKING-CRAFT

I dabbled with radio-controlled (and free flight) model aircraft in my youth and now I really like PicaSim on the iPad. I believe it is available in Windows although the controls might be less intuitive.

You're not in to FPS, but have two in the examples (three if you include GTA,) so I'm going to throw Deus Ex in there as it has the offline RPG elements which you mentioned.

If you haven't played it (and you bloody well should have!)

Deus Ex - Amazing
Deus Ex: Invisible War - Meh
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Awesome (and I hear the Director's Cut is even better)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - No idea. Mixed reviews. Haven't had chance to play it yet as I want to do HR again.

Fallout New Vegas + DLCs: if you never played it (hours and hours and hours of gameplay).
Tycoon games: I played the Locomotion (Transport tycoon) the other day and spend several hours in it.
A platformer: Ori and the Blind Forest. There are not many good ones for PC, but this one is very well made, sometimes too challenging imho (a gamepad recommended)

Something unusual: Euro truck simulator 2 + DLCs. I was sceptical about this one, but it is very adictive and very nice gameplay as well. Good mix of sim and arcade driving, building your own company, ... I even installed it on my father's computer and that's all he plays now.

OR: go on youbook, type: PC gameplay, and see what suits you the best. There were not many game releases during the summer.

Been playing a few RPGs of late. Of the modern ones, Witcher 3 is the best RPG I've played in a while. Good storyline and cohesive, believable world without the cartoony genre staple good vs. evil. Divinity: Original Sin is supposed to be excellent too, first impressions are good though I'm not far enough in to comment further.

If you wanna go revamped Old Skool (as in Amiga-esque tile based) I've put a lot of hours into both Legend of Grimrock and Might and Magic Legacy. Both quirky and enjoyable if you liked Eye of the Beholder/Dungeon Master etc the first time round.

If you can tolerate 10 year old graphics, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is still being fan-patched and a cult classic. I'm about 2 hours into it at the moment and enjoying the fresh take on the genre.

If you can tolerate 20 year old graphics, the Spiderweb Software games are worth a look. Visually they are pretty rough but the excellent writing and subtle humour has kept me engaged with Avernum: Escape from the Pit for a lot of hours.

If you're into Diablo-esque action RPGs then I've currently got Torchlight on my HD which is mindless and straight forward but good for a quick blast. Bastion is gorgeous and has a soundtrack good enough to listen to outside the game. And every year or so I like to re-install Titan Quest for a few hours of mayhem, expecially good in co-op mode.

That lot should keep you going for a thousand hours or so Wink

The Tomb Raider reboot and Rise Of The Tomb Raider are amazing.

The Batman Arkham (Asylum, City, Knight) series.

Doom 2016.

Obvious mention for Skyrim.

If you're on Win10 then there's the small Forza 6 freebie on the Windows store.

Tomb raider reboot is really good, not feeling rise of the tomb raider as much though.

If you want something to last a while try valkyria chronicles. It's nails. it's a strategy RPG.

Finding it difficult to find good games to play myself at the mo tbh. No mans sky was crap, played through remember me, story was decent but gameplay was so linear and repetitive it hurt.

Primarily still playing rocket league

Some interesting games popping up here.... there's even a couple I might download too.

This is between the PS3 and PC here, but some of the games mentioned I have played and didn't like and have been deleted.

I played Witcher 3 and Skyrim, can't remember which one I played a few hours of (the one with the dragon), but didn't really get in to it, same with the other one.

Some of the games I've enjoyed on the PS3 include: God of War, Final Fantasy (love any of those games (apart from 9)), Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Ratchet and Clank, Prince of Persia (had all of the games from the PS2), Assassin's Creed....

PC: Mass Effect(s),Far Cry 3, Fallout 4, Cities Skyline, Saints Row 3&4, Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege 2&3, Crysis, X-Rebirth....

At the moment none of them are screaming "play me, play me".

WoW, I tried that when it was first released and didn't like it, same with FF11, Tomb Raider 2013 I quite enjoyed but stopped playing it after I got so far in to the game, Batman I played Arkham Asylum and one of the others but didn't really get in to them (guess I'm not a Batman fan), As for old graphics... I have a lot of emulators and every game released for those systems

Just remembered, as Minecraft is on your radar, you might like Space Engineers.

Diablo, Command & Conquer (you can get all of them on Origin cheap)

Morrowind is a huge time sink if you can get into it, it is made better with either running OpenMW or MSGO to fix most of the clunkyness.

For RPG's I'd be cracking out the emulators.

Most modern RPGs leave me feeling like they are MMO's without the online bit. (e.g. Oblivion, Skyrim).

League of Legends is fun if you enjoy 12 year old shit chat.

For PS3 I would recommend Ni No Kuni. It's like a Final Fantasy/Pokemon hybrid made by the guys who did Spirited Away. It looks gorgeous and is a ton of fun collecting and training familiars.

Another vote for Batman. Arkham Asylum starts off the story line (all four games to date are part of the same arc) but all the rest have much open world goodness.

Dawn of War for strategy. The first game plus expansions are worth a buy, the sequel not so much in my opinion.

Prison Architect is also worth a look. Basic graphics, but quite challenging to start with and even when you know what you're doing a wing can suddenly burn down or a riot kick off. Does get repetitive after a while.

FTL was huge news about two years ago, RPG where you captain a ship that you can upgrade with various parts and crew. Made in 16 bit style, 2D pixel graphics and if you die its game over and start again.

Doom looks rather tasty. Any idea about performance on a gtx960? Will I be able to manage 1080p with medium settings or be relegated to the blur league?

Finished rise of the tomb raider. Story was really dull compared to the last one.

Playing arkham knight now, after the horror show of its release its actually decent enough.

I have doom downloaded and ready
