I'm using a Delongi espresso machine. Not getting max satisfaction from it as I can't get my 18g of grounds in then two cup basket.
And my puck is often sloppy.
Any advice ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

Having used Tracey's bean grinder for a while, ooh err missus!
We bought a new, Bosch, filter machine when we were in Cyprus, the coffee from the filter machine has loads more flavour than that from bean to cup machine. The filter machine also has an added bonus in that you can just keep adding more coffee into the mix until you find the right flavour/caffeine level! ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

I just cram the coffee in, pre-heat the mug with boiling water empty it and put underneath, add milk and top with hot water.
I basically have an Americano which is a double-double espresso |

Since starting the thread I worked out a solution (No Pun).
I pulled the basket out my old esspresso maker and popped it (Read rammed/clashed) it into my new de-lonhgi Cup.
Bingo..... the bigger and deeper basket, without the 'special' 'pin-hole' crema spray device, has returned my coffee to better strength and pucks are now drier.
I am dialing down the size of grind now. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

Alternatively, you could quit pucking around and try spooning instead. Nescafe straight from the tin never sticks (assuming you maintain a dry spoon).
Which reminds me, I haven't had an instant coffee for more than a year now, these Muricans don't use the muck. ____________________ Make mine a Corona. |
