i ride in central london so it doesnt get too cold to need muffs or heated grips, last winter i just beared with it and wore my normal gloves but seems a bit more chilly this year, i was perhaps thinking of these for inners:
https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/101854
but maybe i am better off getting a new glove.
plus i am doing DAS next month and will be getting a cbr600 or r6 (prefer sports bikes) so muffs would look a little weird, and the inside of my palm is fine its just the outisde which gets cold so heated grips wouldnt solve this i guess |

I use these for winter, they're not quite thick winter gloves, more like 3-season gloves. I find they're perfect for commuting around London in as they're not so thick you cant feel the controls like your normal winter gloves. Combined with heated grips on longer cross-country trips, hands are always warm & dry.
They're also the only piece of RST "waterproof" kit I've ever owned that actually ARE waterproof! Every RST "sinaqua - waterproof" jacket/trousers I've owned has leaked like a sieve from day 1. |

Tried a lot of different inner gloves and ended up going back to a cheap pair from Primark. This winter I'm gonna try lever sleeves, and probably pickup a pair of Spada Enforcers. I don't like big cumbersome gloves either but I like cold hands even less |

Same here. I only find them to be cumbersome for about the first two minutes after putting them on having switched from summer gloves - quickly get used to them.
I've also used Windstoppers inside them, and they did make a difference, even though at first they felt a bit tight under the gloves. Silk inners is probably a good one to try, as they'll be a bit thinner.
Think I'm now back to the problem of keeping feet warm though ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

I Bought some Halvarssons Beast gloves from SMC which have the outlast technology in them as well as their dryway plus liner. Highly recommend these. |

My hands and thighs would literally crack open and bleed from the cold.
Inner gloves do not work for me. Muffs would, but they are ugly, some are easy to steal (it depends on how they are fit), and you have to make sure they are truly waterproof or you end up with heavy soaked sponges over your hands. Also, some people reported that, at high speeds, certain types of muffs end up applying pressure onto the levers!
The only thing that works for me are heated gloves. Not super cheap, but the only alternative for me is not to ride during the winter.
I had a pair of Gerbing which were fine. What sucked was that the low setting was often too hot for city riding, and changing temperature was a pain: I had to press a button on the battery, but the battery would often move around the pouch on the glove, making it hard to find the button and to do this when stopped at traffic lights.
I tried the Tucano urbano heated gloves in a store but the fit was very poor.
In the end I ordered a pair of racing heated gloves from the Italian www.klansrl.com, which actually makes the heated gloves for Tucano. The fit was much better, good protection, and, compared to the Gerbing, there is a lower heat setting, plus the button is visible on the glove, not in a pouch, so much easier to operate even at traffic lights.
Both the Gerbing and the Klan can be attached to the bike's battery or the power socket. If you do this, I think the Gerbing has some kind of remote control which you can put on the handlebars, and which also allows intermittent heating. I never looked into it because I don't do the kind of long distance riding in which this would be useful.
