Bit difficult to help as I don't know where you are but you must have a tyre shop such as Stapletons near you. Perhaps they could help in the morning.

Thumbs Up

My local tyre shop jet tyres is full of fat twats, know shit and when trying to put it on will probably rip the tube.

Seriously have a guess who does bikes there, a 16 year old kid, they let him loose on an r1 exhaust once too.

Do you mean you can't get the tyre with the innertube back onto the wheel ?

Have you tried some furniture spray polish because that will allow the tyre to slip over the rim of the wheel - spray on the tyre's rim and the wheel's rim if necessary.

If you still can't get the tyre back on the wheel take it your nearest bike dealer/garage and explain to them that you need it done because it's an emergency !

6 months to get the bike ready for mot failed last week on front tyre and now i get new one and cant get int on Laughing

So with the furniture polish shall i just polish up the rim or just spray it on and leave it wet?

A mallet might be of use. I presume you are using tyre levers?

Hitting it and jumping up and down are always useful techniques with these things. Embarassed

This is where an extra set of hands and several tyre levers come in handy and so get someone to help. I would invest in a tyre bead breaker from Abba Stands to help you in the future when nobody is around as it will make light work if it taking it off or putting it back on again !

Now i have half of one side on, saw hands a snapped tyre lever, with 2 left.

You need to get better tyre levers than that because they must be made of cheap alloy metal to have broken and so best to get ones made of steel instead the next time round. Was that broken tyre lever actually designed for a bicycle's tyre or motorcycle tyre because a bicycle one is usually made of cheap alloy metal because it's not put under to much strain.

Have you got nothing else lying around that could do the same job or can you invest in buying some more motorcycle tyre lever

You maybe have to take your tyre & wheel to the nearest biker dealer/garage to have them fit it.

So the next time around do what I suggested in investing in a bead breaker.

I know that Halfords sell tyre levers but make sure it's one that you use on car/motorcycle tyres.

The online shop The Fast One sell ones made by Draper made of hardened steel for £18.99 - FastOne Order Code: (530904)

https://www.thefastone.co.uk

M & P also them for £17.99

https://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=530904

Tooled Up dot Com sells the Draper Tyre Levers for £14.64

https://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=15254

Also, they sell another make of a similar type called Elora for £11.47

You sure you have the right size tyre? An RXS100 tyre should almost push over the rim by hand.

Lay the wheel down on the floor.

Clart damp soap all the way round the rim.

Push one bead over the rim, start at one point and move round gradually with the heels of your hands working the bead down in both directions until you can't get any more on.

Make sure that the bit you started on is pushed as far down into the recess in the middle of the rim as possible.

Now "walk" the rest of the bead over the rim by alternatley pushing your weight onto the bead on either side with your heels.

You might need to 'pop' the last couple of inches over the rim with a tyre lever, remember to keep pushing the bead down into the centre of the rim to give you more space.

Put some talcum/powdered chalk on the tube and install it (stops it sticking to stuff).

Push the second bead over in the same way, ensure you don't catch the tube under it.

If I can fit a 160/80/17 MEZ1 (with tube) to my supermoto using two tyre levers (and admittedly a lot of swearing), you can manage a RXS100

There's no panic. As long as you are on your way to a booked appointment with a garage you can ride to the appointment even after them MOT expiry date but not use it for anything else. So if you have to get the tyre fitted on Monday and can't get to the MOT untill tuesday you'll be ok as long as the trip to the garage is the only time you use the bike.

Just a numpty idea, the inner tube is deflated isnt it? I spent hours trying to get my push bike tyre on then realised the inner tube was about half inflated. i took the air out of it and the tyre slipped in to place realy easily!

It's the right size, tube deflated im doing it all correctly, just i dont seem to be strong enough, and im not weak either.

I have a mate works at a tyre place, im taking it down at 10am tomorow, ready to fit to bike and ride it to the MOT at 12pm.

I have also discovered a new problem, upon replacing all the split pins, one has rotted and snapped inside the rear wheel spindle, i have no idea how to get it out, nothing is working.

Fairy Liquid round the rim and tyre seating and use two screwdrivers.
