You said it yourself, it's running excessively rich, and the idle has been wound right up to try, possibly to try compensate. Dial them both back down, a bit at a time.

To anticipate the next problem, it won't idle slowly, I'd wonder why it's ended up in that state. Potentially the idle jet is clogged, the owner's cranked the idle speed up to get it running off the main jet, and then done something wacky like raising the needle height, because sportsbike = needs moar fuels. Alternatively, the idle jet has dropped right out (if it's a jet rather than a bushing). Something something carb something, either way.
