array is spot on...
With a litre bike in mind though, one word of warning, this summer just gone I went from a CBR600F3 to an YZF-R1 and if I'm honest, for commuting purposes the 600 was far better .
Gearing is so high on the R1 I can't even rev it out (without hitting 3 figures?!) may as well fire her up, flop it in 3'rd and be done till I get to work. At least with the 600 I got to change gears now and then.
It's got the umppfff but apart from overtaking there's no opportunity to use it.
And now my 600 is sitting in the garage, stripped and prepped for the track and I actually prefer it on the track as well.
So as much as litre/Blade seems like so much do-want, it can be to much muchness for commuting and less fun .
There is a very occasional blast on a weekend where I Can get a thrill but again, on a bike like that, pushing it on public roads quickly leads into Licence Loss territory
I'm half playing with the idea of selling the R1 to get an R6 or 600RR... |

I choose 250 over 800 most days now, just for the opportunity to actually rev it and whack it up and down the box.
Workmate actually chopped his 600RR in for an 600F. More comfort, less frenetic, exactly the same journey times.
RRacierer and bigerrer isn't always betterer for a commuterer. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I personally would go for the RR, but not new. They are rare and special bikes these days and will teach you far more about machine control than a Fireblade ever will.
But loads of people like to sledgehammer finesse with pure power. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

You're in good company, it was actually the best selling (or at least the most registered) 126-650cc bike in January. Last hurrah, that's it killed off by Euro4bollocks now. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
