question is there anyway to make the rc valve engage sooner than 7500 rpm is it as simple as tighten one cable and loosen the other?

Nope.
Adjusting the cables will just adjust the position of the valve when it is open/closed which is of no use and may even decrease performance.

Mr Honda spent a lot of time/money tuning the engine and setting the R/C valve to work together through specific RPM ranges.

One thing you can do is unplug the servo and move it manually to open or closed (whilst stationary) and see how it effects the performance of the engine. Here's a clue though it doesn't do anything good, I'll say that much...

Nope, you'd need ignitech box to alter when rc moves,
cheers,

Adjusting the cables does change when the RC valve opens.

How?

If it's anything like the YPVS on the R1's, then the servo dictates when it moves, and the cables just dictate how far it moves (Obviously you want it adjusted so it fully opens)

By tightening the cables, you could end up with it being open too far at idle, and then going past fully open, and possibly snapping the cables etc.

My old 4xV R1, I fitted a 421 TI system on it, and had a box made up to replace the servo, to trick the engine management to thinking it still had the servo.
Although it was making over 150bhp on the rollers, it was flat as fuck below 6k. I always regretted coming away from a working valve.

Why do you want to? Chances are that doing this (or at least beyond a nominal amount) you would get a flat spot between the power valve opening and the power band kicking in.

If you have changed the exhaust, etc, so the power band kicks in earlier (and the chances are this would result in an exhaust giving less peak power) then it might be a useful thing to do.

All the best

Katy
