i have been looking at a 125cc motorcycle its a 2008 cruiser problem is i had a 2000 motoroma which had a metal pipe running from the engine just next to the exhaust connection this pipe tilted forward and ran up the front of the bike not sure where it went now this 2008 cruiser has the same metal pipe problem is this 1 is snapped off the pipe goes nowhere i need to know what that pipe was and where should it go????

i am sure i have seen the same sort of pipe system on newer bikes but instead of metal they are rubber running from roughly the same location.

will attach a picture of the pipe in question

It should probably lead to the EGR valve - an emissions device that recirculates some of the exhaust gases back into the engine to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. That's what you see at the end of the pipe on the Lexmoto photos you posted.

It's possible the previous owner has tried to remove the EGR valve in an attempt to improve performance but if that's the case it should really be blanked off rather than just having the pipe chopped. They're not expensive on most chinese bikes if it's missing but if it was a tuning attempt I'd be wondering what else had been done.

My GF has a Derbi Cross City 125 with the same engine... No idea where the pipe goes, but as said it's probably some emissions thing.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
