I'm interested in finding out the price of something, I'm curious as to what the 'going rate' is. To cut a long story short, been riding a year and am planning to do my theory and full licence early next year.
How much is it for a 2 or 3 day course plus theory test??? Regardless, i'm gonna have to start saving my pennies! |

this is the price list for a motorcycle training school accross the road from me.....
cbt+8hrs training+test £225(your bike) £275(there bike)
cbt+10hrs training+test £260(your bike) £310(there bike)
cbt+12hrs training+test £295(your bike) £345(there bike)
no training school can put you through the theory...you got to do that you self..
i just got this from the same school after passing my theory.
4hrs training+test on there bike (£160)
obviously prices change from school to school but they shouldnt change too much
all the best ____________________ Bikes owned :- 2001 nsr125, 1999 zx6r, 2006 yzf-r1, 2009 xmax 250, 2012 yzf-r1, 2015 MT-07

You should be able to get it for around £400 all in - including hire of a bike, and the actual test. You'll get 2 x 4 hour lessons per day usually shared with one or two others. ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

i paid 375 for my course
it was
new CBT on gears first day
then two full days road riding, from 9-4 with a lunch break
then the final day riding till 3 then my test was at 3.30
failed first time, retest was another 75 quid for bike hire and test fees, and that was another day of training till 3, test at 3.30
passed, plus 10 quid per day for insurance in case you damage teh bikes, plus cost of lunch brings the total to just under 500
id been riding a moped for a year before hand
i would recommened elite motorcycle training if you are in london, i went to the training centre in wembley, which is 30 seconds walk from wembley park tube station, all the instructors were great fun and taught you well, cept 1, but i think he left, and overall i really enjoyed it ____________________ So in other words, he stopped you for being flagrantly in posession of a motorcycle in direct contravention of the Hippies, Darkies and People Whose Face I Don't Like The Look of (Police Powers) Act. 1976 |

nothing they ask you to do is hard, but its the stress that fails most people, cos you concentrate so hard on one thing, forget to do another as a result, make a move deemed "dangerous" instand fail
like my first test i failed on one thing, a cross junction with traffic lights, that stupid offside to offside thing, it was deemed dangerous cos i obstructed my view, and thus failed
but you wont fail a second time, unless youve had no training or you get a bastard tester, mine was a bastard, and it doesnt make it any easier, a friendly tester can put you at ease, one who enjoys being an arsehole just adds to the stress ____________________ So in other words, he stopped you for being flagrantly in posession of a motorcycle in direct contravention of the Hippies, Darkies and People Whose Face I Don't Like The Look of (Police Powers) Act. 1976 |

Erm, is this a restriced a licence? or DAS?...DAS is usually a little more expensive. Also, the training school that I went to offered free retakes on the restriced licence (but not on DAS ). ____________________ TiN

then pass, forget it all, and learn how to ride "properly"
[EDIT] and what i meant by calling it a gay rule phoen, is that if i was riding anything more than a 125, which i am , i will be clear of the junction and on my selected exit road, before any of the other cars have had a chance to really go anywhere, hence im rarely gonna find myself in a situation where i need to bother with that rule
if i had burned off like this during the test it would have been deemed dangerous through lack of observation etc, but in real life on a modern bike, it really doesnt seem to affect me to much
btw mike, ignore the crap in this post till youve passed mate ____________________ So in other words, he stopped you for being flagrantly in posession of a motorcycle in direct contravention of the Hippies, Darkies and People Whose Face I Don't Like The Look of (Police Powers) Act. 1976 |

Excellent! I wish I was riding back in Scotland. Back home I could be in the countryside in 5mins, some great roads around there. Here in London I never feel like I can escape the built up areas, and the cars. |
