Say your calipers are crook - it'll cost you £100 to do them up
You buy some s/h calipers for £60 - they're crook also. Add another £100 ............
I have heard stories that Kawasaki charge a lot less than Suzuki for the same seals - anyone got any recent prices? |

Hi
Should be less than £60 for 2nd hand calipers with a bit of waiting.
New seals for a GPZ500S front caliper were £3.35 + £3.65 + £3.35 + £3.93 = £14.28, plus VAT so £16.78, and that is for a single basic 2 piston sliding caliper (prices from yesterday). The ZX6R will need 6 times as many seals. If say half the pistons need replacing then that is probably at least another £60.
Advantage of a set of 2nd hand calipers is that even if they do not last long you have a spare set to repair at your leisure, or you can salvage the best pistons from each caliper and have not cost yourself anything extra.
All the best
