I dunno what the flip is going on with Photobucket. I can't seem to download any of the images
Anyways... on the left side of the bike you have the the CVT and above that is the carb (as the nexus to all those pipes) with the back air box attached to the carb's right-hand side.
Where the air box has that sort arm sticking out I think the screw you're after is just under there. I could just see it in the last photo before it spontaneously combusted.

It's a Delux.
God, I remember when everything was Delux. Cars, vacuum cleaners, hotels
It's somewhat gone out of fashion hasn't it. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Haha yep pretty dirty...CLEANED...
Is it that flat head screw or one of the smaller ones underneath it?
I began to unscrew the top one out but it looked like it had a spring in it too so I stopped and thought I better check here first.
So just completely screw one of these out, let the gunk drain out, then put it back in and mix some new fuel in and give it a crack?

I managed to take one of the lines off from the tank valve and it was bone dry. I couldnt get the other one off and and hoping that this is an easy tank valve problem and maybe not the carb? haha. Or I'm dreaming and have to get the other one off for sure to see?

That's a vacuum operated fuel tap.
TBH I've never seen one like that before (but then I've never owned a Melody )
That won't pass fuel without a vacuum operating it (the pipe you have removed)
If there is fuel in the tank, get a bit of tube and stick it onto the fuel tap then suck on the pipe to create a vacuum. If this doesn't work the diaphragm in the fuel tap may be split which would mean a replacement tap or repair kit, presuming these are repairable. Open the carb drain or remove the other pipe and see if fuel comes out when you suck on the vacuum pipe.
I wouldn't even touch the carb until you have proved the petrol supply to it. 1 thing at a time and then see if that works before moving on or you will just confuse yourself. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Petcock would be more reliable than vacuum valve but that does mean you have to remember to turn it on and off. Either petcock or vacuum valve you just need to match the tank thread - as per Polarbear's suggestion - get the ruler out
Leak looks to be fuel rather than oil so I would suspect the aforementioned valve is now stuck open and you're getting a leak from the carb overflow. Either that or the carb bowl drain hasn't been tightened up. ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

UPDATE 2.
I took out the tank and tried to fit my new fuel valve on. Didn't fit, screw too big, so will go into shops and ask around tomorrow. It looks different and doesn't have a big long rod, is that important? Does it have anything to do with the vacum/carb stuff? or any valve that can fit is all ok?
1. Is there any particular website you know where I could buy one that actually fits a 1982 honda melody ns50 haha?
2. Should I clean the gas tank while it's off? If so are those youtube vinegar and baking soda/water tutorials reliable or should I just go to a shop for some chemical liquid?
Thank you for your support!

1. Clean tank out. Put in some fuel, slosh around and drain, Unless the tank is a pile of rust inside that should clean it of crud.
2. Is the thread size different or won't the fatter filter bit fit? If it's thread size, get an adaptor or to quote Clint, adapt and improvise.
3. Did you ever test the old one to see if it's OK. If the vacuum pipe to it is perished it won't work.
Watch this - explains how it all works even though it's yankish!

What you have there is a super-generic vacuum valve that fits almost anything... current and modern
Bit far away (Germany) but if you get really stuck, here's the part:
