So the throttle slide is visually at the bottom of its range of movement, resting on the idle screw?
Is the needle still in position in the bottom of the throttle slide? They can get pushed up as you insert them. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Did you remember to put the spring back in?
Seriously though, take off the airbox and hose and work the throttle and see if it's moving up and down smoothly. If it's at all "crunchy" there might be a bit of grit jamming up the slide. ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |
