CBF125 making weird noise?

Any one has any idea why my cbf125 could be making this weird sound??

There's an engine on eBay for £218 including postage.... or £180 if you pick it up from Falmouth.

I suspect that running on 100ml of oil (really?) will have k-nackered possibly the bore/piston/rings/mains/something else.

It would be nice if we could have one thread about a CBF or CBR 125 that doesn't start with a terminal knock because someone ran it out of oil.

I'm surprised there are any cheap engines left. Every bike out there must be onto its 3rd engine by now.

How far have you ridden since the problem started?

Did you change the oil filter too when you put new oil in?

I'm assuming you aren't trolling, by the way.

Yeah, I'm not qualified like these guys are, but I don't think you should be riding that bike until you've solved the problem. You never know if you might be causing more damage, or if it might suddenly seize or some important component catastrophically fail, breaking other things on its way. What have you inspected and checked? Did you do the stethoscope thing and find out where the noise is coming from? What did the oil look like in the drain pan? Bits of metal in it? Can you drop the oil filter, cut it open and look at that for signs of debris? Have you checked the timing? Compression reading? From what you're saying and the account you've given, it was starved of oil and now the engine is toast. And it sounds like rod knock, to my inexpert ear. In any case, you need to figure it out before you ride it again.

If you have knackered the bottom end from running it out of oil, then it will get louder over the next 100 miles or so until it is unmistakably a bottom end knock. At the point you might as well change the engine, because it will cost twice as much in parts and outsourced services to fix it.

If it doesn't get louder, keep riding it.

When it gets really loud, stop riding it. Putting a conrod through the engine case will ruin your day and get oil on your shoes.

It had been low on oil for a considerable time because it wouldn't have ended up with 100ml of oil overnight. Your bottom end is going to be fucked and probably most of the rest of the engine will have suffered severe wear.

I'm surprised it's even running.
