 |
|
Starting my wheel build and I note all the spokes I have are 'inners' to the hub and have 'J bend of less than 90 degs' but half must be 'outers' and so need to havea bend of greater that 90 degs. Can I bend them to required angle 'cold' do you think? ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750, SL1000

Um, where did you get these spokes from? What did you actually ask for? ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

Well, half of them are.. I just bought a job lot of correct length spokes without thinking/realising - I only built push-bike wheels in the past where that bend is not (nearly so) critical.
Worst case I will junk/sell on the ones I don't need and get the correct ones. Live and learn, got to challenge ones-self right? ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750, SL1000

Mmm. Dunno. He's bending it further, is that what you need to do, or the opposite? It looks neat, but it his hole's too small, he might find his spoke won't come out (I guess he could always radius one side of the hole, and turn the spoke around after bending, like the hand on a clock so it would come out). How much do you need to bend it? |

Good plan - should be able to swap my left-over spokes for a matching pair! ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750, SL1000
