Thanks Guest!!
What's the best way to clean it up after it's removed? Soak in petrol?
I'm pretty sure the OE RS125 chain doesn't have O or X ring seals as well, so re-assembly should be easy. ____________________ "... I wouldn't mind doing 130 up to a T junction, but unfortunately my bike tops out at 120 which is gay..."

wd40 or parfun/white spirt is ok to clean a non-"o" ring chain, make sure you put the back of cilp facing towards the direction of travel as shown in the photo or it could fly off. ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650,KZ750 Present:G650XC,C12,CRF450X,1190ADV |

Wash it in a pan of paraffin with a stiff brush then wipe it down and let it dry.
I don't suppose you can get tins of LinkLyfe anymore? That was wonderful stuff - coil the chain up in the tin of grease and then heat it on the stove (when mum's gone shopping ) so the grease melts and the chain sinks into it and gets thoroughly lubed. Ah, them were t'days |
