Wow swinging by the factory sounds like a good idea if you're passing!
I am planning on going to France next summer but not sure I can wait that long. Ok looks good then. I think I'm sold. Thanks guys!
Just can't decide whether to go standard or long on the seat length.
Apparently standard has a raised bit at the back of the front rider seat to support your back/bum:

Whereas on the long version the seat goes straight all the way back and instead they have a support at the front of the rear seat:

To be honest the standard LOOKS more comfy like you're sitting IN the seat rather than ON the seat but I'm wondering if someone with an arse the size of mine would be better off with the long one
Also, do you think a raised seat as opposed to the standard seat height would have more cushioning and be more comfortable? ____________________ 2024 BMW M1000XR

I emailed TS and they advised me that a longer seat would indeed be more suitable for a tall chunky rider
They also confirmed that a raised seat would add more foam and therefore should be more comfortable but warned me against this option saying I need to be sure I'll be comfortable with the extra height regarding being able to reach the floor etc. I don't think I'll struggle with that but will sit on my bike tomorrow just to be sure I can go another 2.5cm while still being able to reach the floor.
Only thing that did just occur to me though would a 2.5cm height increase make a noticeable different to the lean angle on my back/arms reaching the handlebars making the handlebars relatively lower than they were before like I'm reaching down to use the handlebars? Don't wanna be too hunched forwards like a super sports riding position. ____________________ 2024 BMW M1000XR
