The plastic sleeving on my abus chain has completely perished & the chain is damaging the paint on my wheels. Does anyone know where I can buy new sleeving? I dont want to buy a new chain as they were pretty dear. https://homepage.ntlworld.com/suzian/Files/abus.jpg |

At the bottom of this page is a cheaper option, as long as your chain is <2m then this would do.
If you are really on a budget you could just whip some gaffa around it. ____________________ [Italjet MM5A] ll [Rieju RS1 Evolution] ll [Suzuki GS500e] ll [Suzuki GSX600F] ll [Honda CG125] ll [Pug Elyseo 125] ll [Yamaha YZF750R] ll [Yamaha Thunderace] ll [Yamaha R6] ll [Triumph 955i] ll [Hayabusa RZK3] ll [Suzuki RGV250] ll |

I've got the same thing with my Abus chain but what I've cunningly decided to do, and being a cheap skate, is put an old sheet over the bit that the chain lies on. |

Try writing a letter to Abus, telling them how disappointed you are in the quality of the chain you have bought, and that you don't expect the plastic on an expensive chain to perish, allowing the chain to damage your bike.
They may ignore it, they may send you some vouchers or they may even send you a replacement ____________________ I spend all my money on bikes and beer, the rest I simply waste! |
