A lot would depend on the nature of the damage. Can you see the crack/hole? If it's a tiny pinhole, you might be able to melt it over with a soldering iron or drill it larger then pop/bond something in to plug it.
If it's a crack, you'll probably need to drill a stop-hole at the point of the crack to prevent it spreading further then either plastic weld or bond the split.
Pics of the damage would be good. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

If it's a bolt going in there maybe an alternative would be to use a stud instead with JB Weld in lieu of thread lock. You also be able to use a little epoxy around the exterior thread/tank area. Okay, so you'd have an ugly nut holding on the fairing but something tells me aesthetics aren't a priority ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

Old Thread Alert!
