I watched this Meteor350 vs CB350 comparison video in India now.
I was thinking CB350 was faster in acceleration and didn't know much.
He was saying Meteor has better soft suspension which fit Indian road, soft wide deep seat. Both can keep 110km(68mph) constant. CB has no vibration, Meteor has slight vibration. Meteor sound is not so loud less Royal Enfield ish sound but sound good.
Watching this video, Meteor looks better for comfy commuting in my opinion. It has more cruiser ish style than CB but it's pegs are not too forward control, this is very important for comfy commuting cause it will avoid your buttock aching.
p.s. They were acceleration comparison too.

He says CB has too high 4 & 5 gearing. ____________________ own:2020 Serow 250

I went for the Meteor in the end, price was too tempting and the more I thought about it (and the more the price of petrol went up) it just made more sense for me and my use case.
I got a fireball one in red, picked it up on Tuesday because they had it in stock. Insurance is buttons, it will allegedly do 100mpg and it is an absolute hoot.
I don’t like the look of the screen or sissy bar so I’m happy with the fireball, might take the stripes off the wheels, not sure yet. I might get the tank wrapped in gloss black for the full murdered out look. I love the heel shifter too.
I’m actually looking forward to riding it, which I never was with the Er6 I’m actually looking forward to going into work tomorrow just so I can have a ride, might go for a ride out at lunchtime too just because I can, I’ve got to get it run in anyway so might as well go for an ice cream over Cannock Chase instead of sitting around the office. |
Hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it mate, post up pics of it and all the best ____________________ PRESENT: 2018 BMW S1000XR SE Sport.

Put about 100 miles on the Enfield now, would happily ride it to the coast tomorrow if I had time. Wouldn’t have fancied it on the ER6.
It’s definitely more my type of thing, I basically rushed in and bought the wrong bike with the ER6, excitement got the better of my when I passed my test. It was a shitter, I could have fixed it up, but it would have kept costing me and at the end of the day I’d still have a old battered bike with surface rust on the frame and iffy electrics.
My favourite thing is that I’ve done 100 miles and not only is the fuel light not on, I’ve got more than half a tank left, that’s keeping the CFO happy too.

Shiny Nice bike! I hope you enjoy yours! Owning type of bike you prefer is more important. I changed from LS125R to W650 for similar reason. I noticed I prefer upright position after buying LS125R. W and Meteor seems to have similar position and engine plus sound.
Please keep your bike with safety items. ____________________ own:2020 Serow 250

These do look really cool but personally I'd have opted for a used Rebel, W800 or a Bonnie, but saying that you'd have to be looking at something around 10 years old to get one at that price point.
£3,500 could have got you a 2020 CB300
Either way, I hope you really enjoy your purchase, seems like you are already, nothing beats the experience of buying a brand new vehicle. And with a three year warranty I guess you can't really go wrong really, maybe trade it in when the warranty runs if it's becoming unreliable or if you fancy a change. ____________________ 2024 BMW M1000XR
