I don't know why but I feel like the majorty of bikers do stunt. Maybe it's because where I live most of the people on bikes do so. But on this site it seems like most people don't. If you do stunt then what are your reasons? If you don't then do you hate those who do because it gives a bad image to other bikers? Also I think it is obvious that most female riders don't do any "tricks" on their bikes.

i do a few stunts .....wheelies and stoppies if im messing about with my mates .

i dont go out at meets and wheely up and down the road, mainly because im not good enough yet ...but on a nice quiet industrial estate i will play around with it a bit

and of course a few stoppies here and there to mix it up

id like to be able to do ( and afford to do ) rolling burnout etc

i do like watching other people stunting tho and will be at/near the front of the crowd......and yes i know the risks..blah blah

all good fun when done sensibly

I tend not to stunt too much. Where i live all the roads are twisty as hell so i spend all my time riding rather than stunting.
Plus alot of my mates have been banned for larking around.

Chris McInnes who many people will know, as he held the record for the worlds fastest wheelie, got band last month after the cops turned up and caught him at it.

He stays just down the road from me. Thats enough to put me off!!

Although it does look impressive i must admit.

Just like you fellas I enjoy pulling a few wheelies. It looks real nice, it reminds me of how I used to look at guys on bikes a year ago when I didn't know how to ride. The thrill that comes is great. But at the end of the day I always think of "what if something went wrong?". The same thing happened when I went a little too fast (162mph). And hopefully when I get the Gixxer I won't be goofing around as much.

I enjoy doing stunts when I feel safe to do them.
A good reason to do them is for learning the limits of the bike, max accl and breaking for an emergency situation. Not sure where burnouts fit in to that though.

Saw a guy pulling a stoppie while filtering to the front of traffic lights, admitedly this did look cool but it was way too dangerous for other people.

When I was younger I went through a stage of purposefully locking up the rear wheel when cornering, just for the fun of it. Nowerdays I cannot see the point of stunting (on the road). If you happen to pull a massive wheelie, just as a car decideds to pull out in front of you, then you have even less change of getting out of the situation unscaved.

I don't stunt or aspire to being great at it. The consequences of something going wrong are too great, financially and physically. Plus I have nothing to prove to anyone.
I prefer to be able to steer and brake at all times.

Under hard acceleration the front pops up but I'll feather the throttle so the wheel only leaves the floor by a few inches, I wouldn't class that as a 'stunt'.

I have upmost respect for people who can do crazy things like in the Gixxer video that Yams posted, but dumb wheelies and stoppies don't flick my switch.

My fork seals and clutch plates will be asking for it soon - a wheelie a day before lessons start at college is the routine for me. I wouldn't profess at being entirely good at it, but it gives me a boost to start the day with. I tend to do it when it's quiet and no crowd. When people prompt me or when they'res a crowd outside college insisting i do a wheelie- i'm kinda usually pissed off but what the hey.

Stuff like Streetfighter day at the ace tickles my boat.

I'm a rider not a stunter. I have respect for those who can.

My only dislike is those who are not as good as they think, but will try in dangerous (for other people) places. Get good before you do it in front of a big crowd at a meet. Otherwise people get hurt.

Not too much anymore, had a few close calls with the law (one police car saw me and i landed another wheelie just as a police car came up to a junction to pull out onto my road. If its a clear road infront and i can see the cars behind me (make sure they're clean then i may pop the front up.) Don't burnout of stoppie because they're painful.

Not really, but that's down to lack of practice and ability more than anything else (and a fear of smashing the bike up! )

I dont mind stunts pulled at a race track during victory laps etc. But watching these american made vids that contain 84 mins of people wheelying gsxrs.........................i find VERY boring

The thing with owning a dodgy 125, try and do any stunts and the thing will fall apart on me!

I've never done any stunts, don't think I'd ever attempt it until i get a better bike. Even then I'll be bricking it! I think that's cos i'll learn them in a trial and error approach!

For me my bike is too expensive to be learning how to do these things on. Maybe if I had a cheap bike away from public roads...

I'm not against it, I tried wheelieing my ped out of pure curiosity.

I get enough pleasure from just riding on the road though really so fucking up my bike doesn't appeal that much.
