I drop some sweet chilli sauce into them. It makes lidls 'Simply' baked beans almost edible.

I don't need to, it's become a matter of principle.
Heinze et al are taking the absolute piss, we need to at least try to find acceptable alternatives to these greedy bastards.
I'm more than happy with Asda's and Sainsbury's offerings in this particular department.

I quite like a bit of Marmite in there now and again if I'm feeling particularly sassy.

You know, actually, I get that. I actually prefer ALDI's own-brand tinned tomato soup to Heinz's. Tesco does nice own brand kidney beans and butter beans.

I used to fucking LOVE the lasagne from LIDL but then there was the horsemeat scandal and that lasagne was one of the things that they found to be 100% horsemeat and not beef. When they changed it back to beef it didn't taste as good anymore Crying or Very sad

A load of built in appliances, fridge freezer, washer, dishwasher, oven, extractor, induction hob.

Got about a third off with friends & family discount, saving over 600 quid, got 5% off kitchen units too that wasn't expected.

I'll get a better floor, LVT looking likely.

I'll let you know how the holo I got is in practice, I don't expect much from it, they were only like 30 something quid a pop. My boy just wanted something that wasn't the iron sights and I didn't want to throw money at two good ones when cheap ones will be ok for plinking.

Service and MOT for the car. Found a new place and very happy with the price. Car sounds quieter and definitely glad
of the new oil. Haven't even done 3000 miles since last MOT. Car has just passed 25k miles @ 5 years old. No advisories,
no fault codes, oil and filters change, sparkplugs are still within replacement interval. Two of the tyres are a bit old and are
the factory fit tyres anyway so it's great they've lasted 25k but they are past their prime. I'll be having the wheels refurbed
and a full set of new rubber later this year anyhow. I've wanted a gunmetal/black steel finish on the alloys since I bought
the car. They would really finish it off along with a paint correction and full detail.

I seem to have bought some more clothes.
Payday came ZOOMING up faster than it usually does, due to having been away on holiday for some of the last month. Laughing

Mostly the things I bought were for the office, but apparently also (in my mind, at least) to change the way I dress so that I can attract a more appropriate quality of bloke/s.

Some of them fit, some of them don't.
I've put a bit of weight back on lately, damn comfort eating!!! ... so if I lose *that*, the ones that don't fit will fit and the ones that do fit will fit better. Bit tight round the armholes. Nothing a few weeks of dedicated keto and a return to swimming can't solve.

I appear to have also bought two pairs of cheap fashion cowboy boots but my feet are too sore from traipsing through the rain in Bishopsgate so I don't want to try them on tonight Brick Wall ... they'll be okay, bound to fit - they are size 8EEE for super wide feet Laughing

Happy Birthday 2u x (unless you were lying to the shop to get free ting an stuff)

A copper coloured sink & tap, LVT flooring, bronze effect sockets and switches. Expensive, but it'll be the last kitchen I ever do most probably.

I was not lying, it really was my birthday Laughing
Although I was away in Santorini at the time.

Forum members who have not been around as long as the rest of us will not necessarily be aware that at some point in the dim distant past I was designated the (unofficial) Queen of BCF (non-pooftery division) for quite some time - personally I think Bendy and TSK deserved it more than me, but Bendy went off to be terribly busy and important with Bruce Somebody-Wossname who flies aeroplanes and plays dreadful music (not necessarily in that order). She was my hero for many years , a very cool bird Wub

But yeah, maybe I will make myself a second birthday just for the hell of it - its the sort of thing that incorrigible ladies of a certain vintage would do.

I prefer an entire week of official birthday celebrations.

This year Sid & I and a select group of friends are taking a large villa with pool for my birthday week. The others don’t know yet but I’m planning on lying around, by the pool for the whole week, wearing a flattering cozzie with a gossamer kimono, demanding champagne cocktails, sweet meats and delicately flavoured crudités plus lobster tails throughout everyday.

If any of them are still speaking to me when we get back, I’ll be surprised coz I am also expecting daily gifts too and may kick off if it’s not ALL to my liking Laughing

BTW, I’ve always deferred to you as Queen Hellkat, I feel I’m more of a Duchess Laughing

£11 and works just fine. Fussy wenches Evil or Very Mad

After the failure of the walking boots i bought from Asda a few months ago (soles wore through to the point of just sponging up water), a pair of Peter Storm boots.
Hopefully they'll be a tad more durable.
