Spring pullers.
They're the sort of trivial tool that cost nothing but you really appreciate when you're trying to get an exhaust together. Fuck knows where my last one went so I bought two more, just to be sure ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

Another set of ear buds.
When I lost the right one about six months ago, I got vaguely annoyed.
But I continued on with the left one, I don't mind a bit of mono and besides, I've been listening to Steven Fry in the last couple of audiobooks, and he would be WAY TOO MUCH in stereo anyway.
But I couldnt work out why the sound had decreased and I couldn't work out how to fix it.
Turns out the left one decreases the sound and the right one increases it.
Nobody TELLS YOU these things when you buy something from the internet these days! I mean whoever really does RTFM...? ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life.

Courtesy of my uncle who's shipping them from the states to me because I couldn't find a single UK importer with stock |

TAT. Yes tat in capital letters.
Chinese high speed drill bits to be precise. 50 of small sizes from 0.5mm to 5mm from Temu. In my defense they were cheap and given my propensity to break the drill bits of that size rather than blunt them I thought, why not.
What a stupid cvnt I is. On opening the packet, ok, titanium coated, nice. No it's not, on inspevtion not so nice gold paint. I then just knew I'd been conned out of a fiver . What sizes are they? fcuk knows as theres nothing on the shank so out comes the vernier. Chortle, 10 drills in the same packet which I'm presuming are meant to be 2mm. 1.9 to 2.2 I even went and dug out the micrometer to check, yep, a variation across them of 0.2mm using the mike.
So on to a test. An ally plate that I wanted some 3mm holes in. It was 4mm thick and said drill was pretty shagged after 3 holes. In aluminium? give me a break.
Is there a moral to this story? Of course there is. Don't be a fcuking cheap skate and buy cheap tools. I knew that, I just got suckered in by the adverts.
I also bought some plastic trim retainers for wifies Megane cabriolet. I break them regularly when changing the headlamp bulbs because of Renaults utterly stupid arrangement to get to the back of the headlights. These I must admit were more successful. 40 for £6 and they actually fit.
So the moral is, Temu is shittier than Ali Express and I never thought I'd be saying that. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

I tend to get my tat from Screwfix or Toolstation.. if it then turns out to be TOTAL garbage you can at least get some recompense, a kind of TAT insurance I suppose.. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

Hopefully I will have the front section for the Vitpilen turning up this week. Single cylinder so fitting should be pretty easy.
Even with only 2 cylinders on my XSR you'd either need to be an octopus or have a mate hold one end of something when lining shit up. More cylinders makes for more fun of course ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |
