^^^ Agreed ^^^
One of the first things we were taught in Marine school was not to put your thumbs round the starting handle of lifeboat diesel engines as the kickback if you got it wrong would be rather debilitating. Obviously a bit like kick starting a Panther. Get it wrong and it bloody hurts ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

My boss has taken me off doing the minutes for another one of the meetings, which is kind of "Yay" but rather annoyingly this is one of the ones that I liked. Possibly I spent too much time perving on the Operations Director instead of taking notes he's got big hands and a lovely Scottish accent And the Chair is very nice too.
But I suppose I can't just be doing meetings all the time. I'd probably get bored of them eventually.
Or it could just be that they're fed up of attending meetings for which I have fucked up the calendar or the Teams link
Fortunately the boss has found other more interesting projects for me to do, so I don't mind as much as I might.
Faffing about with spreadsheets (in an extremely simplistic way) is surprisingly satisfying. Must be my inner geek
But I think he's giving me the admin on some other more clinical meetings to bugger about with. I'm looking forward to that. "There's only one a month" sez he. O Rly? Sez me
Its not that I am running out of work, that will never happen in the NHS. Its definitely a challenging job, in a good officey, pen-pushery kind of way.
I'm trying to avoid learning how to create my own dataset requirements. I might find it too interesting and end up down a wormhole ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

The Military Type is now on his way from Marmaris and has sent a selfie of the airport, completely empty as his flight is the only international one of the day
He looks very well, subtly tanned and fit whereas I am fat, farty and frumpy and still haven't had a shower today. Better pull my finger out.
I had to remind myself that aviator sunnies make *everyone* look dishy, including arrogant overly talkative heavily smoking madmen.

Ate something that disagreed with me.
Just made it to the bathroom in time but didn't get the toilet lid up in time.
Messy!!
First time I've thrown up in about 30 odd years!
Did not like. ____________________ Current bikes: Hondas - Forza 750, ST1100 Pan European |

Boots.
A year in Inov8 Roclite 400 and they're only fit for dry walks.
I've worn them everyday for a year and do a fair distance each day..so I obviously clean them and use that Grainger Nik-wax spray..they still look like they've been dragged behind the van.
Oh they're comfy and light and okay for folk like me that get Plantar, but once a boot lets water in they're useless.
The Alt-Bergs were good...I went through 2 pairs but my they're heavy old things...The Meindl and Scarpa likewise...The KSBs fell apart..Berghaus..The Salewa Repace are okay but a little OTT for all year round.
What else have I used...pretty much all the expensive ones over the decades.
The search goes on...and Goretex is balderdash...Oh aye I'm proper grump at the mo.
