VanVan 200cc battery nearly dead, bike wont start.
Bike 8.5 years old.
Ordered a battery charger anyway(lost mine) anyway, before i buy a replacement battery, which have removed and i expect to replace.

No kick start. To start with electric start i have to hold clutch in, is it possible to
somehow bump start ?

What he's saying is that it has a clutch interlock switch which would prevent traditional bump starting.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Does that not just interlock the starter motor/switch though, shouldn't affect bumping it as long as key is in ignition position

Had a look at a Vanvan pic and they appear to be side stand only
with no kick start.
If so, the clutch switch is only to prevent starting when the stand is down and shouldn't prevent you doing a bump start.

Clutch interlock is usually just to lock out the starter motor, not the ignition.

If it's EFI, on most bikes if there's not enough juice to power the starter, there's not enough to power up the fuel pump, efi and ecu so bumping is a waste of time.

I was actually thinking if its efi if you are not pressing the starter the fuel.line won't be pressurised by the fuel pump.

Yep, If its EFI then you'd need to use the tired old battery as long as it has enough power to prime/run the fuel pump and ignition.
If it hasn't then its pointless trying.

If the battery is 50/50 turn off or whip out the headlamp bulb or light fuses so you can use as much of the limited available power as possible for fuel and ignition
