 |
|
So, just spent the last few hours in a jail cell because of a fat bitch and her mutt!
Long story short, confronted bitch whose mutt had just shit on my driveway, five minutes later three of the knuckle dragging female relatives appeared banging on my door and hurling threats.
Police called, arrived with blue lights and sirens going, took my statement, went to talk to them, then came back and arrested me for confronting her and kicking dog ... and subsequently charged me under the animal welfare laws, even though I didn't touch the mutt!
Anyway, now looking at installing a standalone (if possible) CCTV system to try and give me some peace of mind ... needs to be able to record for a few days at least before automatically overwriting ... sub £200, any recommendations?
All the best ... Barry |

I've got Tapco cameras and a doorbell. The nice thing is they all show up in the same app and very easy to use. Smart phone is obviously a prerequisite.
Any camera that has a MicroSD card slot for footage can record as much as you like, just insert a bigger card. For example, the camera I have to ostensibly keep an eye on my bike and the bins catches all sorts of stuff... unintentionally and its 128GB card manages almost 2 months with the smart motion detection switched on. It apparently uses "AI" to label motion detection footage differently to person detection footage and it gets it right most of the time. (Motion = shitting dog, Person = fat b*tch!) ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

Sorry to say this but you either need to kill and bury her or start looking to move house.
Once she's realised she can do what the fuck she wants and the police will back her up, she will start doing what the fuck she wants.
Next time just sit quiet then post her dog shit back through her letterbox when she's out. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

I'll definitely go with a mains powered 24/7 camera, just need to decide which one now.
After referring to section 80 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, I contacted my local council, asking about ... so looks like they can do something about it.
Most of the legislation seems to be about public places, but subsection (1)(b) talks about a land owner giving permission for dogs to foul on their land, I haven't given permission so they can be prosecuted
The next problem is evidence, yes I can say I saw them allowing their dog to foul, but I'm not sure if CCTV would be the seen as corroborating evidence, it may be that another person needs to witness it.
I'll get a camera up and running first, then I'll keep on hassling the council if she allows it again!
Mucho appreciated everyone ... Barry |

Going to bed around 2120 last night ... just as I started up the stairs and looked out the window I spotted a dark figure at the entrance to my driveway ... I froze hoping they didn't see me so I could watch and after about a minute or so they walked away, don't know if it was another dog walker shitting on my driveway (well the dog not the owner), I've not checked yet.
Tapo C510W ordered and will pick up later today, also ordered a Sandisk Extreme 256GB SD card as well ... I'll probably leave it on continuous record because I'm on a main road with occasional pedestrians.
Once again, thanks for all the suggestions, including the kill option
All the best ... Barry |
