I just had (homemade) chicken, smoked bacon, and wild mushroom, penne with carbonara sauce and some cheesy garlic bread.

Sister was coming over to make chicken korma, arrived with a fish supper as her back was too aore to stand cooking ... really enjoyed it Very Happy

Bit pricey those. £3.75 per packet for 1 portion of sauce!

I use Sainsbury or Asda "own brand" curry sauces as they're decent and only cost a quid and I add a few extra curry spices to the meat when I'm frying it just to intensify the flavour. I can get 2 portions/servings from a jar too so that's 50p per portion of sauce Thumbs Up

I got this recipe from a friend and it's got to be the best korma I've ever tasted, I've tried some of the shop bought korma sauces and they are nowhere near as good.

And a fish supper with plenty of salt and vinrgar just can't be beaten Laughing

You're not wrong (but I need to watch my weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels these days so fish-chips-peas-gravy has to be an occasional luxury) Crying or Very sad

I don't think I could handle that mate. I've gone from being an 18 stone bodybuilder on 6 meals a day to weighing 14 stone and only eating 2 healthy meals a day with perhaps a mid afternoon snack of nuts and quick carbs to stop me going hypo. I usually just have cereal, fruit, and a whey shake for breakfast and then a decent meal for tea/supper.

My favourite day of the week (Sunday). Just had a quality home cooked roast dinner.

Roast Topside of Beef, Buttery Mash, Carrot-Broccoli-Cauli-Petit Pois-Sweetcorn, Yorkie Pud, Thyme Gravy. Bitter Lemon Tart with double cream for pudding. Off to bed now for a kip Laughing Thumbs Up

Just had Nasi Goreng with satay sauce. Home made to the recipe I learned when at sea. Such a simple meal but so much flavour.

I'll be grilling (BBQ) later, typical Southern US blowout involving protein, high saturated fats and high carbs with a hefty dose of sodium thrown in just to make sure it's bad for you.

That is to say, beef steaks, mac and cheese, (Southern) black beans, green beans, collards and corn bread, to name but a few dishes.
Peach cobbler for dessert and then later on I'll be high dosing the reflux meds otherwise it'll be a rough night!

Fermented foods are an aquired taste. However, given it's nutritional density and composition, I'd imagine your body would tell you it likes it.

in my experience your body will also tell you it doesnt like it...
