After a recent accident with a rear paddock stand, I need to buy a new one.

I don't want an Abba stand as I'll only use the stand for cleaning the rear wheel and cleaning & lubricating the chain.

Has anyone bought one recently and could you please share the information on what you bought and where from?

Thank you

I’ve had a couple, and the Oxford Premium Rear Paddock Stand was the most stable (but note the reviews regarding it hitting the number plate on some bikes; very odd). However, rear paddock stands always felt awkward to use and I’ve scratched swingarms with them; more so with bobbins than with cups. Maybe that’s just me.

Since buying an Abba Stand that’s all I use, it’s so much easier and secure, although if you chop and change bikes a lot you might wind up buying lots of adaptors to fit different swingarm pivot points.
