Was hoping there will be enough rain for the Environmental Agency to put red boards up at the locks because they're to advise all boats not to navigate due to dangerous and difficult conditions but I don't think that's going to happen. Sad

I got my wish and the EA had red boards out. Mr. Green

Next up we need to do it again preferably with more flow on the river.

Finally sorted out my NIC payments for state pension, turns out it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I only have to bung in a few quid for two partial years and, assuming I live and work till 67, I'll get the full whack. (If they don't move retirement age again!)

Anyhoo, Gods bless Martin Lewis for highlighting the issue.

Coax networking. That takes me back!

Back in the day I got sent on a job at a translation office, connecting a load of PCs up to a network. It was probably for a Netware server, Lotus Notes or some shit. All went well till the last two PCs in a side office...

The BNC T-piece got within about an inch of the newly fitted network card and ZAP! a giant spark and all the office electrics blew out. On two floors Shocked Turns out neutral was tied to ground and swapped with live for every socket in this side office Sad Given the PC cases were live it was lucky I wasn't electrocuted! (The coax effectively being a ground supply from the other floors.) Oh, and every network card was destroyed.

It's the cat's birthday. We bought him a little house for his favourite spot in the alleyway, as it's getting a little chilly. He's now glued to the TV as the wife's put a nature channel on for him Laughing

So is the TV in his little house in the alleyway?

Talking about castles.
Randomly came up whilst talking to a mate in the pub.

Known the bloke over 10yrs, turns out we are both castle geeks, and had a proper talk about how they are built.

Must add this was with a ale in hand and sat by a proper fire.

All decent conversations, must be held with an ale and a fire.

When I finally got back home to London City airport, my ex (who had been looking after my dog) had sent me a text saying he would pick me up.
I may have cried (with happiness) Laughing

I wish he had been this nice when he was my boyfriend, LOL His current girlfriend has him better trained than I did.

Doh! Yeah, that could have been written better! He was in the living room examining his present (we moved it to the alley later) and stuck the TV on as a treat.

Our current cat watches TV occasionally regardless of what's on but obviously he finds nature programmes super interesting whereas the TV may as well have not existed to our previous cat. The only thing our previous furry overlord liked was World of Warcraft* because you flew around on dragons.

Caught this little piece of genius on YT.

The ghost of Bob Monkhouse speaks!

Sad and genius at the same time!

Keeping my mortgage going for another year, meaning I'll earn around £600 interest on the cash I have, and I'll also pay less interest on the mortgage over the year compared to the 1% early repayment I'd need to pay to clear it today ... win, win Very Happy

When I made the conscious decision to never drink Coke, Irn Bru etc. ever again it was surprising how much energy I gained. I doesn't make any sense!

id recommend fasting as well, if you are looking to improve your overall health.
