Hi
Many years ago I rode from Liverpool down to Winchester on a 125 (derestriction Honda MBX125, as a learner so no motorways). Not a problem. Stopped at a friends near Banbury for most of the afternoon mucking round on his farm (trying to get 30mph out of a CB50). Not a problem really.
Also used to ride from Nottingham down to Winchester and back most weekends on a 125 using A and B roads when I first moved up to the Midlands.
All the best

The furthest I have gone is about 180 miles on a 125. The only thing I would recommend is as you have planned, take plenty of rest breaks. Don't push yourself too hard, see it as fun rather than a mission to get there as quickly as you can. How long do you think it will take you? It took me 6 hours to get 180 miles but then I did stop for a meal on the way. |
