Does anybody here get a bit weepy when they let their beloved bike go? Especially the first one?

Just gave my ped to it's new owner and despite all the disputes and the hatred I had for it, was still sad to see it go. Nearly a tear in my eye. The end of an era one might say. Sad

Looking forward, the next bike I own that I will ride WILL be the Bandit. Very Happy

What I did was sold my DNA for more than it was worth and then got my 125 2 days later. So I really did not regret a single bit of it.

Only if I have to "let it go" becuase some twit has decided he doesn't have to pay for bikes like the rest of us. Probably not tearful, but something slightly less passive.

Hi

I would if I sold a bike.

Tend to just keep them though.

All the best

When i sold my NRG, i did feel like there was some gremlin churning in my stomach making me feel somewhat remorseful becuase that THING did TEACH me all the lessons thus far on what NOT to do on a two wheeler. I also reminisced back to the time when it belonged to my dad. Seeing that i was my first one, i did feel attached to it somewhat and i do agree with you Jon, it's kinda like the end of an era. You're now riding a bigger and geared bike and you do feel sad that you're saying goodbye to the vehicle that had spurned your desire for more.

I was every so sad. I cried.

I cried even more when I found out that Jack had blown her up. Poor bike, she was lovely.

Yup, lump in my throat when Stinkwheel rode off on my H100.

The advantage of selling to someone I know is that I still get to see it occasionally!

i was a bit sad to see the kh100 go as i had a lot of fun on it.

Was also sad to see the MZ go, the thing vibrated in such a way that virtually guaranteed a horny female pillion and increased chances of nookie lol.

The only bike i was truly happy to see go (for reasons other than it being horribly unreliable or exploded) was My XBR500 which went to a newly passed rider who gave it alot of love!

My first bike (CG125) was nicked, so I wasn't upset, I was bloody angry.

My second bike (XS250) was sold to fund the chopping of my my third bike (XS650).

And I've had the 650 for 18 years now.......

Cheers,

Byrnie.
