So how many of you have dropped your bike doing a u-turn?
And how many did it 2 months after passing their test ?
I had to do a u-turn in a road with a bad camber, where as most people would be sensible and keep a foot down,
I decided to be a good little boy and keep both feet up
Then realised the camber was a lot worse than I had thought,
tightened the turn and ooops.
Result: Smashed indicator light and red face. |

Never dropped a bike doing a U-turn
Current bike has sod all steering lock and is a heavy bitch so i normally keep at least 1 foot down.
Slow riding and covering the brake just makes you more unstable unless your good at doing it. Now i just give it a squirt of power and roll round on momentum.
Dropping a bike isnt much to be worried about, most have done it, all will do it at some point.
It's worth keeping some spare levers and indicators at home just to be safe |

Hi,
I do not do U turns unless the there is enough space to turn a 747 , I never was much good, and I do not see the need to worry about feet after the test
Regards
