As above. They came out of my GK73A, led to believe they fit all models. Put them in and get yourself a dyno print out and your sorted. Fuck paying £140 for the kit + fittings, take them off my hands for £20. |

Tarche - eh? Fit it yourself, and IF, your insurance company requires proof, you send them a dyno print out, as what I did last november. If you crash the bike and the bike is 33bhp, it is restricted, no matter what a little official bit of paper says.
This official bit of paper means nothing tarche. If its restricted, then its restricted, nothing will deny that or prove it wrong, especially some official bit of paper or who fitted it.
If you buy it new, yes, the only way you can get it done is by buying through an authorised garage and they fit it. Thats buying it new. We're talking about second hand. |

Sorry m8 I beg to differ! Me and all my m8s had our bikes restricted at the same time. 2nd hand and brand new! You need a certificate otherwise insurance wont pay out and then you are technically not covered. I have been there. My FZR was restricted and written off and without the certificate they would have not paid out. The specifically requested it. |

Well, I've never heard this before, any ideas on who "a lot of insurance companies won't accept a dyno print out" are? The first one I tried accepted a dyno printout but only once I told them that it is the same proof as an official certificate. They just asked for SOME proof saying the bike was restricted and a motorcycle garage signed it. Wouldn't mind knowing what companies won't accept it.
Must be some sort of deal between F.I and insurance companies where they get money to ask for it. All soem sorta god damn scam I tells ya |

Cofields demanded the FI Int. restriction docs, The two companies I was with when I was spose to be restricted never asked though (Thankgod!)
I dont see why it bothers them that much, If you crash into a bus load of orphans and dont have them fitted they aint gonna pay out jack anyway, So they atleast have your money
Being the owner of FI International must be an awesome business to own, So much money for one sheet of paper and 4 washers. They even charge £25 admin fee to change the name/address on the cert. ____________________ My bikes are at https://www.bikepics.com/members/dynamight/ |

CIA didn't ask for proof of restriction for a ZX6R at 17 and when renewing the policy at 18 they asked if my CBT was still valid (luckily it still was ) and also didn't ask for proof of restriction on a TL1000R. |

In a recent bike magazine, they, fi interenational, said they sell about 1500 kits each year. And at £140 a pop, thats soemthing like....£200k. And all thats theirs. Thats without the admin charges etc. |
Dont forget the costs involved in making a washer with a hole in it ____________________ Currently in the stable.. '89 TDR250, 86 NSR250 '79 350LC, '79 DT175MX, 82, Pasola, '98 R1, '95 Speed Triple.. all of them total sheds.. |
