33 BHP Bikes - Recommendation

Hi,

Just passed my A2 license so 33 BHP for 2 years.

Just wondering, what bikes there are in that range. I know I can get most bikes restricted. But what can people recommend.

Hopefuly going to keep the CG for a while as its great for commuting, but after a while i will want a boost.

I had a restricted ZXR400 which was excellent.

Can definitely recommend that.

i had a restricted zxr400, i think its the best option going for a 400, gets you used to the bigger frame and weight, without a massive increase in bhp, then take the restrictors out and the fun begins!!! Twisted Evil

Ive got a GS500 ( which is currently for sale Wink

), realy comfortable bike, did 100mph without too much trouble, restrictors were allready fitted when i got it and are still in now so im not sure what its like without them. The power is quite a step up from a CG though, with any of these bigger bikes, although 33bhp restricted, you will be pleasantly supprised Thumbs Up

I can't help but think how lame a bike that is restricted to to 33 bhp must be.
Fair enough getting a bike that was only ever meant to put out 33bhp and no more.
But a bike, like a 400 which has about 60bhp, to have the power cut in half - sounds like it would be horrible to me.

Keep the CG mate for 2 more years, when the time comes, get yourself a full power mo-sheen, much more like it. (its what i did- it was worth the wait)

Having the bike restricted is no bother at all. You can still hit 100MPH, maybe your acceleration will be slower because over 8,000 RPM the bike stops pulling but heck it's fast enough anyway. Smile
