Try:
sitting/leaning further back on the seat
giving the handlebars a bit of a tug
bouncing the forks down first then dropping the clutch as they bounce back up
doing it with less petrol in the tank
revving it harder
Or just give up untill you're on a bigger bike. I used to occasionally wheely my cg125 but never mastered it(often just ended up lurching like you describe). I tried out the bros without going up to the redline but could only get it to wheely off the line - I think i'm going to forget wheelying for the time being as I don't want to drop the bike or kill the engine, and I find wheelying off the line a little scary to be honest ____________________ Hard livin', hard luck. |

Well when I tried it my chain was knackered and the new rear sprocket I've now fitted is 1 tooth larger which does seem to have made a noticable difference to acceleration/gearing. I also think the bike is running better after removing the carbs to check the valve clearances and changing the plugs/airfilter. I suspect the airfilter case may also have not been correctly installed onto the carbs previously.
In other words I did some stuff to it and it now feels like it has a bit more pull so perhaps it would go up more easily(though I never tried really hard to wheely it whilst moving previously). Also, I had it dynoed today and it only made 29.5hp at rear wheel, so maybe my bike is a bit down on power from what it should be. Not sure I really want to bother with wheelying though as the engine probably isn't quite so bullet proof as the cg125 and i'd be gutted if I dropped and damaged it.
I have thought about getting a cheap hack/project though, specifically for mucking about and acting a twat on ____________________ Hard livin', hard luck. |
