Actually, can we make my post a sticky? ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Wrongo, My restricted CBR600RR is quicker than monk's(monk.... dunno the rest of his name) and while on the hastings ride out my bike was noticeably faster, and he said his only hit 90mph whereas mine hits 105ish. This will all be down to a sportier gearing for my bike.
Pulls up to 8k rpm, then slows through rest of the revs, peak power is like 7k rpm. MPG is like 45 sat flat out for 260 miles, and filtering for 60ish. ____________________ 05 ZX10R, (**05 WKR) |

I was thinking of a 600RR or R6 when i turn 18, with 2 yrs NCB and only 1 Year and a bit left on the 33bhp limit. Dont realy know what the point of this post is, but you never know ____________________ CBT Aug '03 ... Gilera GSM 50 ... Honda NSR 125 Aug '04 ...

There was a very useful insurance guide posted a long time ago (by annabella i think) that proved invaluable when i got my quote for a Bandit 600.
I has just turned 18 with no NCB's.
The first company i rang just laughed at me.
The first quote i got was in the region of £2200 TPFT
After playing the companys off against each other for about an hour i got the price down to £700 with cover to ride other bikes.
I also live in a relatively high crime area.
It pays to shop around. |

yeah but how many years had you been riding? Maybe I'm just talking to the wrong people at the wrong time (Targets etc) But I dont like the sound of 3k insurance on a 3500 bike
Plus, I'll be more than happy on an SV650 ____________________ "Just Believe" |

1 years NCB as well.
It was £50 for changing a £800 tpft policy on a ZX6R to the TL. |

Then why ask what it is like with the restriction in then? I went through all that effort of explaining as well. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
