Can someone tell me where the oil level should be on the ZL 1000 when it is up-right and running? Looking through the site window?

well i havent got a kwak but on most bikes the oil level should be between the two little lines next to the sight glass upright on a level surface a couple of mins after the bike has been running
prefably nearer to the top line

if the bike is running the window will look empty , check it a couple of mins after you switch your engine off

went the engine is running the oil will be all over the place! so you won't be able to get a level at all, turn the engine off, leave it for a while for the oil to drain to the bottom of the sump, them making sure the bike is level and upright, the oil level should be between the min and max level lines in the sight glass, if it doesn't have those lines buggered if i know. I have a 1976 Kaw 900 LTD and that is the way it is ,oil level lines, on that bike. But whats throw-in me is that there is no oil lines on the ZL 1000. so I'm thinking its in the middle of the site window

As stated by others: upright, NOT running, if the engine was running you wouldn't see any oil...
