I've never noticed a vibration.

Doc, not encountered this myself, but a) I haven't had a restrictor fitted and b) I've got a 600RR anyway.

However, certainly worth asking the chaps on www.cbr-forum.org.uk as there are certainly some there who know their stuff.

Check bar-ends, foot hangers etc. If something like that is bolted on loosely it can make a difference.

Vibes shake them loose over time. My RHS foot hanger was almost falling off before it noticed it. Shocked

It's an easy starting point. Thumbs Up

if you mean more of a hesitation rather than a vibration..

had the same on mine, the bike kinda stutters between 5 & 6k.. apparently its down to an enviromental dip thats there to get round some EU emissions ruling or something...

on the later fuel injected ones, apparently its built into the mappings of the FI.. on the earlier ones its a restriction in the exhaust.. mines the last of the carb'd models, therefore replacing the end can solved it..

Hi

Flat spots at half peak power are a common bodge to help bikes get through the drive by noise tests, and are also a common result of the way bikes are tuned to produce power over a certain rev range.

However, if it is vibration I would suggest you balance the carbs first. And double check the airbox is properly in place.

All the best

Keith
