|
Thought I show a few pics of the finished article...
Not been rushing to finish it, but now I have, I wish I'd taken a little more time over the paint, but, first time I've used a spray gun I think its come out quite well (unless you look closely!)
The first pic is how it looked when I got it....
The other two were taken on Sunday (22nd).
Took it out for a gentle run and all seems to be well, so, off for an MOT soon! |

looks like a very nice job, like the altered tail section.
shame about the exhaust as if it was a bit bigger it would look like a bigger bike

Saw the pic and thought, hey that looks nice.
Then realised that was the before pic.
Nice bike you've got there, and a nice job you've done.

Excuse me!!! Exhaust(s)!! Its a V-twin.
It'll be fast enough to see off a 600 on a good twisty road
Paint looks good in the pics, but if you look up close its not the best, plus the tank could do with another coat of laquer.
Tail section it from a company called Tyga, doesn't have a mount for the rear lights and indicators, so I had to make up a bracket to hold the standard light (to get through the MOT), but I think I'll replace it with something a little smaller once it goes through. |

Bloody gorgeous bike mate. Lovely looker. I am looking into upgrading to an NSR250. I think they are mint bikes. Wouldn't mind an MC28 in Repsol Colours.
Tell us when shes up and running. Would like to know how it performs. ____________________ Honda MBX50 | Yamaha RD125LC | Suzuki RG125F Lucky Strike | Suzuki GSF600S

Thanks for the comments everyone, much appreciated!
Josh, a mate of mine has an MC28 in Marlboro colours at the moment, he's just picked up a second set of plastics that I think he's going to get done in Repsol colours. |

Love them bikes. Saw an MC28 on ebay, in Repsol colours. Just wish I had 1500 at the time, because that would of definitley been my next bike. ____________________ Honda MBX50 | Yamaha RD125LC | Suzuki RG125F Lucky Strike | Suzuki GSF600S

looks very good mate never seen an nsr 250 on the road, you've done a real nice job.
What engine does the nsr 250 use, same as rs and rgv?
The only thing i dont like is the front forks, never liked the look of that design, could you fit some usd off a aprilia, or maybe im being picky!!!
I especially like the back end done a really good job!
hope she runs well for you, keep 2 smokes alive!!!! |

Bike cost me £700, paint and laquer was £100 (done it all myself), mudguard was £30, chain & sprockets about £60, 1 piece leathers were £130 off ebay (used once, what a bargain!!), boots were £130 new (sidi - match the leathers).
Still needs a rear tyre as the one on there is a little low, dont think it will pass an mot, so to date its cost me just over a grand for bike and leathers etc..., plus the time I've spend on it doing the bodywork, wiring, chain & sprockets etc... To be honest I think thats a bit of a bargain so far, but I suppose I still need an MOT!
For me, Donnington is quite a way, especially on a 2-stroke, done it on my old ZXR400 back in 1994 to watch the 500 GP. If I go, it'll probably be by car |

Think 700 was a good price for the bike? What condition was it in and did it run no probs? Because 700 sounds like a good price for a possible future bike of mine. ____________________ Honda MBX50 | Yamaha RD125LC | Suzuki RG125F Lucky Strike | Suzuki GSF600S

Gorgeous bike. Looks fantastic both before and after.
Is that the NSR250 which has that strange key card ignition, or was that just the SP? (Or am I just talking rubbish?)
Either way, lovely bike, so enjoy it. ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike |
