as long as lever is at least a few mm away from the bars before the clutch starts to bite your freeplay is ok, an my nsr is the same for finding neutral i have to roll it forward first ____________________ visit Collective Knowledge |

Free play is measured with the clutch out, pulling in, not clutch in, letting out. If you've got too much free play, then when the lever is fully applied, the clutch itself may still be dragging, making it a pig to select gears, and particularly selecting neutral. ____________________ Current: CB500 Previous: CB100N, CB250RS, XJ900F, GT550, GPZ750R/1000RX, AJS M16, R100RT, Enfield Bullet

Sometimes my MBX slips back into neutral from 2nd gear! And the clutch slips by itself at times as well. I'll be sat at the lights with clutch pulled fully in, and the bike still stuttering forward! Got a mind of its own! ____________________ Honda MBX50 | Yamaha RD125LC | Suzuki RG125F Lucky Strike | Suzuki GSF600S

I have an Aprilia RS 125, same thing happens with my bike, when stopped i cant find neutral unless i roll the bike forward a little bit or put it in neutral as im slowing down, i think its a normal thing, dont think theres anything wrong with your bike |

Yeah its pretty much the same for a lot of bikes. I too have trouble shifting gears when the bike isn't moving. Just a common thing. Nothing to worry about. ____________________ Honda MBX50 | Yamaha RD125LC | Suzuki RG125F Lucky Strike | Suzuki GSF600S
