What nick said...
Higher air flow means you will need to adjust the carbs to cope, which wont be free and will cost easyly the price of the filter if not many times more... otherwise your engine will go bang very quickly (from runing lean/not enough fuel to air) this will make the engine run less efficiently and slower... before it seizes, even then it puts additional strain on the engine that it was never designed for so it will last nowhere near as long as it should..
Tuneing a 50 is like plastic surgery on very ugly people, it dosen't imporve things only makes it worse + costs a tremendous ammount in the process.
99% of people who have been there and done that will advise, wait till you can get a biger bike, then get one... when thats too small/slow, get another..
Contrary to popular belief scooters are generally very relyable if they havn't been messed with. ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

iv got a gilera runner 50 which done 55mph easily when i had the standard airbox.
i recently bought a "mallossi cone" for £18 and had it fitted and re-jettet for £20....... £38 in all. its actually made my bike slower, 52mph easily and takes slightly longer to get there, although pull-away seems the same, if not better
advantage of getting one though is the loudness of it... people think its a bored out 70cc kit.
just thought id spread my views on the subject.
