PostPosted: 10:58 - 09 Jun 2005    Post subject: Insurance quote keeps getting better Reply with quote

as i said a couple of weeks back i rang round and got a best quote of £282 of lexham TPO at 17 on a RS125, as this was about £200 cheaper than any other quote i have had i thought id go with it, also for £37.50 breakdown recovery (well its an RS125 so makes sense!! Thumbs Up )

got the money together as 4 days till i can drive it and rang up and recalled the quote and she says,
"well actuly i can get it for you for £210 now" so 30% with breakdown is now £60 ish instead of like £100!!! well good, maybe when my dad rings to complete direct debit (as cardholder have to be over 18) well good as so short of money at the moment!!!it cheaper than my TPO for my 50cc moped was this year as a 16 year old!!how good is that! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Anyone else had so good experience with insurance?i know there pleanty of bad experiences!!

Tip of the day: Shop around loads and ring others back with your best quote: (although most people on here will tell y0u that!)

i renewed my insurance with bennetts for £550 TPO for a RS125 17yrs and full license!

I then found out abt lexham and tried them just for the hell of it and they quoted me £530 TPFT <-----!!!!!

I was like Shocked RING BENNETTS!!! but the fukers wouldnt let me cancel my insurance cos i went 2 days over the 14 day grace period! Evil or Very Mad

Anywho...will definetly go with lexam next year if they r that cheap again!

yea my moped was with them and as i would had to of waited 2 weeks for my 1NCB they said they could bring it forward if i went with them but was still like £489 and i decided that i wasnt going to do that!

yea lexham was 0NCB,L-plates,TPO was so chuffed as £500 is a joke for TPO!! could of got £480ish TPFT but havnt got that atm might see if i can upgrade when got more more to fire and theft or if cant but some good locks as i think its quite nickable!

I paid £235 on a CG125 at 18. Not bad but not astoundingly good either.

I think my renewal will be about £300 on the bros 400. However that's TPO and without pillion cover, and at 19. Plus it's a small, low power commuter bike!

£307 on a bandit6 at 17 with fire and theft cover just aint fair Sad

Bennetts are a rip off for the race rep 125's. I was getting quotes around 700 for RS's and TZR's. I found Lexham to be the cheapest. Also tried Motorcycle Direct, they seemed pretty cheap as well.

TPFT on the R6 and TPO on the RS. lol, sometimes it depends where you go really, Im insured with Motorcycle Direct on the RS and I was gettin quotes for like £750 from other places so its best to always check around!

Best thing to do is buy a motorcycle magazine and check all the insurers at the back!

lol, On the R6... In my policy it says that I'm allowed to ride any other bike with owners permission on a TPO basis! Now in that it doesn't say whether the bike I'm using has to be restricted?? hmmmmm Rolling Eyes Borrow my uncles hayabusa i think! lol, and I will never reply on here again... Twisted Evil

But it doesnt say anyway, but I am guessing that the bike I borrow has to be restricted for my TPO basis to be legal? Can any1 shed some light on this?
