tomorrow is going to be my 17th birthday so i can upgrade to the RS125 and take my first ride out! im waking up at 7,opening presents and all that then going down the PO to get it taxed as insurance starts tomorrow then driving to college 22miles away!!

This is the route im taking, just thought id tell you all as well excited! one sleepless night coming my way i think!! Very Happy

Anyone got any tips?

my dad is following me in his car up to lewes as hes going that way anyway and ive done it load of times on the speedfight 50 so just riding tips really, been practising loads (20km up and down my road that is quite small, lol)

Hi there mate,
Just take it easy as its your first ride on the bike, dont worry what any other road users are thinking if you end up stalling the bike or something, and most importantly enjoy the ride! Thumbs Up

yea cheers, even on the moped at 45-50mph its fast round that section! i will only be going 60mph tops as got to run it in, taking it in every day hopefully so i can pill the miles on and then run it in quicker! Very Happy going to really try and run it in properly as i dont want a engine rebuild and no bike for a while Sad that would be bad!!

That looks a good route, I use that way to and from work (between Lewes & Burgess Hill), and you can have a lot of fun on that road (if you don't get the idiot coach on it).

You go to Hurstpierpoint College?

I know St. Pauls college. No, I live in Burgess Hill, and work in Lewes. If you see a white & red R6 on your route, give us a nod.

It's your birthday, you have a shiny bike to ride, and (hopefully) loads of petrol money that you got off all your distant relatives whom you never see.

Why on Earth would you bother going to college!!? Exclamation Fuck college, just get out there and ride yer bike Thumbs Up

as its 22miles away!! go in, show it off to my mates that says "your ped must be well slow" clam its faster than my friends 1.9TD as its 0-60 is 4 secs quicker, sit around as just done my exams with every1 saying happy birthday and being extra nice! go for a ride with a friend that live in that town and drive home as quiet time!! sounds a great plan to me rather than saying in on my own! Very Happy Thumbs Up

7? Is that it?

On my 17th, I'm getting up at 5! So no traffic to worry about, and I want to do as many miles I can in 4 days as my bike will need to be ran in.

Have fun. Bet you can't wait. Smile

Your really lucky.

I had to wait 3 weeks after my 17th till I got a 125, and then couldn't ride it for another few weeks cos it was a duffer.

Also my college is only a 10 min ride away, 7 miles, but is fun cos theres loads of traffic to go around. It would take nearly an hour in the car.

Oh and you should post some pics of your shiny, new RS.
