The dampers Sprints new design, list price is £299, I got the from BMF show for £250.

The CRG levers are a killer to be honest, £65 each!!! Shocked seriously!!.

I got the pair of Ebay for £98, never fitted to a bike but display one from a bike show, have one tinny mark thats well out of sight once fitted.

Both are worth having the levers aren't just cosmetic like I thought they would be they really do improve feel!!!, as for the damper well the RR doesnt need one, its not often the front goes to light, but Now I have it on there im glad I have, just settles everything down! Very Happy .

do you often suffer tank slappers?

pull wheelies?

ride relatively rough roads that get scary on the bends?

wouldn't consider a steering damper otherwise.

levers.. well.. they pull.. and thats it..

Purely cosmetic.

Out of interest, did you have to put any rubber bits over the lockstops or elsewhere to give enough clearance for the damper?

Both my sprint ones have touched slightly on full lock.

not at all...

as I've mentioned elsewhere... current improvements on the thunderace are as follows..

PFM cast iron Disks, fully floating slotted disks up front, and drilled at the back, inc sintered carbon lorraine pads and braided hoses.
Custom built shock, and sorted forks, with progressive springs, which have been set up according to my height and weight. Double bubble for comfort at higher speeds, and a scottoiler.

got some nice rearsets too, which Actually makes the bike more comfortable for me.

Engine is stock, as 148bhp is plenty for road use, and I like the spread of power.. tweaking it woud make it more powerful but less useable.

All those mods are, imho, way more useful in the real world than fancy levers and a steering damper

Honnestly cant see the improvment on the levers. Confused
Ok, they probably provide a more square recess for your fingers. But apart from that, They are purely a cosmetic add on. Especially with the annodised bit. Laughing

In my defence with the steering damper, I fitted it after a highside, which caused me to go from the nice seated position on the bike to a handstand on the bars, somehow I saved the following tank slapper but from that second I decided a damper was the way to go! Rolling Eyes Smile .

It stops the front of the bike feeling light which givew me more confidence!, so im happy with it.

The levers, most people think they are totally cosmetic until they sit on the bike and pull them, all becomes clear then! Razz Wink

The yoke cover is of Ebay, theres a chap who makes them.

the steering damper is a nice improvement as yiou never know when you may go round a bumpy bend at speed and need it.

the levers although more than likely adjustable, are cosmetic really. and as for that yoke cover....you tart.

having said that, it all looks mint, and if my bike was my pride and joy (as no doubt it will be when i get a bike like that) you would also be seeing such modifications to my bike. as i am also a tart.

keep it all shiney

Well maybe on your bike to you they are, to me on my bike the suspension is spot on out the box, so the only handling improvment I needed was a steering damper.

A bike can be rode by 2 different people, to one it will be fine to the other it might need a damper, different riding styles bring out different characteristics in a bike.

Anyone who thinks the levers are 100% for looks(as i did originally) then its your loss, as they aren't!, If fancy ass levers are just for looks why do racers use them I wonder!, I know why they use them becuase I've found the difference out for myself.

Well bottom line im pleased with my bike and Im pleased with all the mods I've made to it, for me they all have a use.

Cheers to all the people who have complimented me on it and those that havent, dont worry you gota keep up to have to look at it Razz Razz Razz Cool Laughing Wink

Me a tart! Rolling Eyes , well probably!, I find something I want, like say the yoke cover, then I'll set about finding one that looks good instead of putting a carbon fibre one on like everyone else does Smile .

The bike has afew purly cosmetic mods on it and afew cosmetic mods that serve a prupose as it is my P&J.

BD screen
Yoke cover
Damper
CRG's
Goodridge brake lines
OEM Seat Cowl
Stainless Steel bar weights

The only one there that doesnt serve any realy puropse is tha seat cowl! Cool , but it looks good.
