What temperature does your bike hit?

Was filtering slowly through traffic in the sweltering heat last night, looked down to find a reading of 243 degrees fahrenheit

I was beginning to wonder why my legs weren't melting!

mine normally runs at about 65-70 degrees cent.

243 = 117 celcius which I'd say was a touch on the high side. I don't do any commuting myself but the bike gets close to 100 quite easily when riding slowly through town.

I saw 109 yesterday, fan in at 104.

middle of the gauge (then have to switch the fan on manualy )

went into the red at haystings last month, l only notice the fan wasn,t running when l stopped.

Err, dunno, my bike has SACS which is Suzuki Advanced Cooling system, in other words its Oil/Air Cooled so I don't have a temp guage but I can tell it gets blooming warm!

Mine generally runs below 100, but I have been getting 110 - 115 in the heat recently. I think the humid weather does not help with cooling. My fan kicks in just below 110.

I'm gonna ask my garage to check I have no problems because I have also noticed I am getting fantastic mpg (240miles from 18.8litres yesterday, without trying). Not that I'm complaining, I just wonder if its running lean?

I've saw about 109 C on my bike, I think my fan cuts in at just over 100 C.

I just got a needle cauge. It was usually running between 2/3 - 3/4 in hot city temperatures, which usually bothers me.

Normally runs at half when out of city.

104/5 degrees C before the fan cuts in.

82 degrees C at anything over 60mph, usually remains constant (at 82) even if I'm pushing it pretty hard.

Just a guage here too... when i rode it the other day in 30degrees in traffic or going slowly uphill it just gvot above the running temp and about 2/3ds the way up... thermostat must cut in there as the fan is mechanical...

The transalp would get into the red in really traffic, but thats cause the fan sender was buggered...

Worth keeping an eye on in the weather, leting it sit in the red isn't a good idea as serious problems can arrise...

Gauge here too.

Runs too hot for its own good and therefore I really can't get caught up in any traffic when out and about. Went to see if cleaning out the system worked today, but alas, when I stopped and it climbed to 5/6's hot, it started leaking radiator fluid. Again. And I could hear some air escaping from the radiator cap.

New radiator is needed, me thinks.

mine hit 111 on wednesday in traffic, and I felt like I was a similar temperature in full leathers at the time..

I was looking through my owners manual today,it says up to 117c is ok but 118c-130c is too hot and the bike should be left to idle to cool down when the temp reaches 141c turn it off.

Mine will run at about 77C in this weather but when you stop at traffic lights it is quickly up to 100C+. The fan cuts in at 105C.
