Video of it here - https://www.vectrixusa.com/LeadingTheRevolution.html

If you think about it all this global warming thats supposebly happenning and how expensive motoring it is and now theirs these things that I think will be for sale soon:

https://img90.imageshack.us/img90/8629/bluescootercapitollrg4dj.jpg
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
On sale in Europe late this year;
25% cheaper Cost of Ownership;
lower maintenance costs ;
zero spent on gas;
nickel metal hydride batteries cost fifty cents to recharge;
top speed > 60 miles an hour;
range is ~68 miles at 30 mph;
recharge time is ~two hours;
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
put most 50's to shame

https://www.vectrixusa.com/index3.html

Just think how well vespa done in targetting an audience that didn't want a bike but rather wanted cheap, reliable transport.

people will be cruising in these things when it starts to get hot from GW whilst avoiding stupidly high motoring costs/taxes.

Nothing stopping them putting it in a road bike shaped thing so you don't look like a mook riding it.

When they make a bike with an AC motor powered by a hydrogen power cell. I will be interested.

Think of all that torque Twisted Evil

I wonder if the likes of my old 1960s honda moped had a lower net carbon output at 200mpg than the carbon dioxide produced in making the electricity to charge the batteries on that thing?

If someone on a petrol powered motorcycle runs out you can normally sifen some fuel out of your tank to help...

...not like you can give them a bit of your charge now is it?

Hi

Just as much fuel used, maybe more (just hidden at some power station). Only reason it is cheaper is because of the 400% tax on road fuel. Add same tax onto the electricity then the price goes up.

All the best

Not gonna charge the battery up though is it.

68 miles at 30 mph, so will be more like 30 odd miles at 50-60. Thats a very poor range. Maybe useful for round town, but I would rather not use/be seen on one of them.

Here’s some food for thought, a electric motor acting as a engine in a vehicle can not be measured in “cc (cubic centimetres) “ like a internal combustion engine so would this mean any one can ride a electric power super bike capable of silly 100mph+ speeds with lighting fast acceleration on a CBT Thinking Twisted Evil

petrol is like 15/20 pence or something stupid before tax is added but you can't exactly tax the electricity you use to charge it so in theory should be 100% non endorsable. Not too worried about the emissions it's as good as your likely to get on a motor driven vehicle. On a bigger bike something that isn't a silly scooter something that's longer and bigger I bet you could even have something that holds more charge than what that thing their does! (go further and longer on it)! Possibly even side panniers with spare cells/battery jumpers in them to get you home if it dries up. loads of possibilities I reckon.

Prices of motoring are only gonna go up and the only choice I think alot of poorer people (i.e. smelly students) will be forced with is public transport, cycling or electric powered spaz chariots.

$10,000 is only 5,534.63 GBP
