I've been thinking about this. On Sunday I was hoiking a few on the way over to Annabella's house, and after I'd decided enough was enough (was getting near a village) I started riding more sensibly.
I took a shortcut through the back streets of the village, avoiding the main road through it (loads of parked cars), and when i got to the other end, rejoined the main road from a sideroad.
As I did, a police car went past, with the blues going, and gave me a rather suspicious look. It crossed my mind that he might be looking for me, so once he was out of sight, and I was out of the village, I got the bike up to full chat, and before long was sitting outside Annabella's house, and hopefully unfindable.
At the same time, Annabella was also driving up to her house (further behind me), and passed the nice straight backroad (where I'd been pulling wheelies) at the same time the filth got there.
She said the went *really* slowly down the straight, and at the end, turned their lights off and started driving normally again.
Now, I can only assume that they *were* looking for me, possibly after a tip-off from somebody near-by (there's one or two houses near there that may have heard me)
So... my question is, what would have happend had he stopped me, or caught me in the act, waving my front end about in the air?
Have any of you been stopped/caught for doing wheelies? What happened? ____________________ <Simple> no I'm shaven Jon

Its driving dangerously fool. Lol
I pulled a wheelie on my TS50 once, sat on the back, full revs, and clutch.
A copper pulled me and I think he didn’t do me because the wheelie was so lame, he did say don’t do it again.
I pulled a wheelie past a cop car I didn’t notice but I don’t think knew the front wheel was up as I went passed them. ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

But surely if you can sustain it, standing, one handed, waving at the crowd you have excellent control! ____________________ Where does a turn end? Hmm.... now for the next question then...
Where have you found that's remote enough for some "safe" wheelies? ____________________ <Simple> no I'm shaven Jon

I usually use an industrial estate in Reading; right by a train line and no real traffic out of hours. A bit bumpy though, so wouldn't mind somewhere better.
I didn't ask the police to suggest me somewhere . |

True story:
Mate of mine used to deliver pizzas when he was at uni. He was busy wheelying the company c90 down causwayhead in Edinburgh (after getting the mainstand down round Potterow corner. It's the law!) when he was pulled in by a cop car.
The coppers told him "Right, as far as we are concerned that is driving without due care and attention. We'll let you off only if you can prove you are in full control of the vehicle by keeping it on the back wheel 'till you are out of our sight.". He duly did and turned off as soon as possible.
Goes to show that at least some of them have a sense of humour. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Not only that, but there's really nasty speed bumps fairly regularly (make good wheelies launch points, though not with these slippy macadams on my trx ). Some of the road is used by school kids, but not that many.
When our company moved here, one of the sales guys asked if the speed bumps could be taken out because his tarty low slung car ground out on them . |

G, what is your stigma about macadams? Are they really /that/ bad? Ive got a brand new pair coming for 65 quid delivered... So since mine are barely legal i snapped that up, but seriously, whats the crack with them? ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...
