CG125 CB125 CB250
Anything 80s+ with no plastics, no more than a simple twin engine and less than 250cc... dont forget 125s tax is a meer £15 a year! + petrol is rediculously cheap...
Currently fixing up a cg125 (still), i'd suggest you find something thats got a running engine (this has) and no parts rusted beyond useability (this also has but only cheepo bits)
Light as pissible, a crosser would be a goodun but they are very high on the "likely to be stolen" list
I want mine as a spare, emergency use only type of thing, if it was going to be used for winter only it would need to be passenger capable so i'd be looking minimum 400cc, so depends what your planing on really... ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

The cruicial thing is being in the right place at the right time, i got my cg for free, it needs (or its getting at least)... new tank (or serious clean up), new seat pan, new rear mudguard, possible new front fork stanctions, new bearings new chain sprockets...
Thing is The whole lot probably wont cost more than £100, if that.. thats useing official honda parts...
Thinking of makeing it a rat, useing some moto-x bits from similar sized machines
Agree with the MZ too, i'd really like one myself sturdy
Keep an eye on forums (100% biker e.t.c.) and ebay, also the local rag... ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
