Hi
I own an rs 125, When i set off in a morning or when ever it has just been warmed up i can set of fine, but after ive been on it for a while and the temperature increases i can never set of right.
I either rev its ass off or set of and it bogs down, but i have noticed that if im stood at lights and the temperature rises my revs rise aswell.
I could be holding throttle so its at say about 3 or 4 thou and it will just rev up on its own even though i havent moved the throttle so im always setting off to slow or to fast but this only happens when ive been out on it for like 30 mins +
any ideas?
cheers
marc

Maybe worn clutch plates? As bike gets hotter so does oil, making the oil thinner. Nail it in 3rd or 4th and see if the clutch slips. This might be the problem. Wait for some more replies first in case Im wrong Cool

Have you got an electric fan on your radiator? What temp is it showing? An RS125 should be between 84 & 89 once it has warmed up.

Further info from my Aprilia-certified mechanic:

If it does this, if you put the choke on a little bit then take it off again your idle should drop right down & it shouldn't rev up again. Give this a try & let us know if it helps?
